LERA was developed as part of the project SaDA - Semi-automatic Difference Analysis of complex text variants (2012-2015) funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The tool is currently being adapted and further developed for the Synoptic Edition of the Kabbalistic Treatise Keter Shem Ṭov (2019-2022) funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) as well as for other scholarly edition projects in cooperation with various universities and research institutions.
